Mercedes EQC Car Lease Deals
Why Lease The EQC
The first fully electric vehicle in Mercedes' history. The EQC SUV is very closely related to the GLC and similar in size. But this all-electric vehicle is powered by two motors, one on each axle and an 80kWh battery pack built into the floor of the car, lowering its centre of gravity, giving great handling characteristics for such a large vehicle.
The twin motors give an equivalent 410hp and 760nm of torque which launches this 2.5-tonne SUV to 62mph in 5.1 secs, with a range of over 250 miles. The EQC is capable of charging at a maximum of 110kWh and to achieve this charging speed, it can preheat its batteries to reach optimum charging mode and will charge to 80% in 75mins.
To further maximise the range, there are three regenerative driving modes to select. D-1 is mild regeneration, D-2 is heavier regeneration, which allows the vehicle to be driven in a ‘one-pedal’ mode without having to use the brake pedal to stop, and finally Sailing mode, where the motors are disengaged from the wheels allowing the vehicle to coast. There is also the option of auto mode, where the car works out the best of the three selectable modes to use. This is done via Sat Nav traffic information and using the cruise control radar assessing for traffic in front.
The cabin on the EQC is very Mercedes. It features the windscreen twin digital screens, 1 for driver information and a central screen with MBUX. The cabin has blue "electric" accents throughout too signalling its electric power.
The sloping roofline compared to the GLC, does not affect the head and legroom for rear passengers, with more than ample available, even for taller passengers, and a boot capacity of 500litres with the rear seats in place.
