Is there an age limit for leasing a car?

Leasing for younger drivers

Credit checks are what leasing companies use to help both us and you feel confident that you will be able to pay the monthly cost of your lease. If you have a good credit score (which comes with fiscal attributes, such as lack of debts and sustainable long-term employment), there is absolutely no reason why you cannot lease a car the moment you turn 18.

Understanding the leasing process is an important part of taking out a lease. You can read some more here about what car leasing is and exactly how it can work for you as a young person.

Is there an upper age limit for car leasing?

No! As long as you have a valid driving licence, and are covered by an insurance provider, you can lease away with no upper age limit. Just remember to renew your driving licence as your 70th birthday approaches and every three years after that.

Implications may be different with all-inclusive lease and insurance policies (such as Leasing Options’ Fuel & Go), but this is something you can discuss with your insurance provider.
